THK is pleased to be teamed up with Yeh and Associates to investigate the rock fall mitigation strategies along West Bound Peak Period Shoulder Lane (WB PPSL) through the I-70 Mountain Corridor. THK and Yeh are able to digitally create 3-D images of the rock faces using drone technology.
The Ilex walls are in the process of being painted. The walls are being painted to look like stone using stain. CDOT Project Manager tells the Newsletter “an important part of the project has been ensuring whatever work we do, it complements key aspects of Pueblo. This includes the baseball player wall by Runyon Field and this process of matching the stone look of the Riverwalk”.
A ribbon cutting ceremony, softball tournament and trick-or-treat event marked the grand re-opening of Riverside Park. The Park, 5 years in the making, was completed on schedule, and under budget.
City Councilwoman Alicia Johnson told the Greeley Tribune “The resurrection of this park means so much because the flood was such a tragedy. Bringing the community back together in one place is symbolic because it shows we go through this together.”

In an article published in The Daily Sentinel describes the area as “the 18 Road area is home to five singletrack and doubletrack trails on 83 miles and acts as the access to the seasonally open 10-mile Sarlaac Trail that traverses the Little Book Cliffs”.

According to the City of Colorado Spring's website, The Uintah Street Bridge Underpass trail construction is an "$1.1- to $1.2-million project [that] will eliminate the most dangerous road crossing on this section of trail and make the trail on the western side of the creek more usable. Legacy Loop Plaza opened in November. With about 100 parking spaces, bus pull-ins and easy access from I-25, the area is perfect for staging big races and other events."
“[The Design and Construction Teams] did a great job getting this massive project done and we are very happy it is over and the results are already paying off,” Mayor Mike Hillman said in an interview with CBS News 4.
Construction for the gabion retaining walls has begun. These walls will provide trail access under the Uintah bridge, which will become one of the off street connections of the Legacy Loop in Downtown Colorado Springs.

The City of Colorado Springs Parks and Recreation Department is working to complete the Legacy Loop Trail, just west of Downtown. One segment of the Legacy Loop is under construction now.
THK is pleased to be working with the Fountain Creek Watershed, Flood Control and Greenway District, CDOT, Matrix Design Group, Aztec General Contractors and Sun Construction on the retoration of Fountain Creek at Hwy 47.
