On March 22, 2018, progress on the I-25/Ilex project was featured in the Pueblo Chieftain. The media blast states " Workers pour concrete into decorative columns on one of the new bridges just south of the City Center Drive Exit as part of the Interstate 25 renovation work on Thursday in Pueblo. The north lanes, including bridges over elevated sections of the highway near the Ilex Interchange, are set to open Thursday."
