Service: Comparative Tax Rate Study Location: Black Hawk, CO THK was retained by The City of Black Hawk to execute a comparative tax rate study regarding gaming taxes collected from the Black Hawk Casinos versus taxes collected in 33 other surveyed gaming communities throughout 15 States. Taxes outlined included gaming taxes, device taxes, license fees, property taxes and admission taxes. At completion of THK’s analysis, THK was able to identify areas in which Black Hawk could refine possible tax/ revenue sources for financing their resort improvements.
