THK Associates, Inc. Announces Ownership Transition

Greenwood Village, CO — THK Associates, Inc., a leading Colorado-based firm specializing in market research, economic feasibility & appraisals, landscape architecture, urban & land planning, and entitlement & development services, announced the successful completion of its ownership transition. E ective March 2026, longtime ownership including Daniel M. Conway, Peter Elzi, and Kevin Shanks transferred ownership of the firm to the new ownership group of Bryan Conway, Je Keeley, and Julie Gamec.

Founded in 1969, THK Associates has earned a 57-year reputation for delivering integrated, data-driven solutions that combine rigorous economic analysis with creative landscape architecture and planning. The firm’s multidisciplinary team of 18 professionals serves public and private clients nationwide on residential and commercial developments, golf courses, public parks, greenways, river restoration, and large-scale master plans.

About the New Owners

Bryan Conway, Jeff Keeley, and Julie Gamec bring deep expertise in real estate development, construction, and landscape architecture. Bryan has more than 27 years of experience delivering complex projects including luxury ski resorts, historic rehabilitations, office buildings, airports, retail, and multifamily developments. He specializes in land acquisition, entitlements, and infrastructure across Colorado, holds a degree from the University of Denver’s Daniels College of Business, and has served as past president of the Home Builders Association of Denver’s Metro Housing Coalition. Je Keeley, President of THK Associates, has over two decades leading large-scale acquisition, entitlement and development. He founded JMC Investments, where he entitled a 140-acre mixed-use community in Arapahoe County, and previously closed over 3,000 acres of land. He holds an M.B.A. in Real Estate from the University of Denver and a B.S.B.A. from UNC Chapel Hill. Julie Gamec, Vice President and registered Landscape Architect at THK Associates, is a University of Colorado Boulder graduate specializing in transportation infrastructure, river restoration, park planning, and entitlements. Her projects include major restorations and developments in Idaho Springs, Pueblo, and Aurora. Together, the team offers comprehensive experience across all phases of complex real estate and infrastructure projects.

Our Philosophy

THK has been a leader in the planning, design and renovation of urban spaces, parks, greenways, river corridors and open spaces that enhance communities’ quality of life. Often, as part of multi-disciplinary teams, we have not only planned, designed and renovated, but also conducted cost estimating, bidding assistance and construction observation services on many of these projects.

THK has led public facilitation for many projects focusing outreach methodologies to “meet people where they live”. We pride ourselves on being able to move projects from the drawing board to reality, and for the last 25 years, the process of developing public projects has averaged about 70% of our yearly workload.

Our team is well recognized for integrating form, function, and sustainability into various developments and is actively involved in public and private projects.

THK not only designs innovative landscapes, focusing on water conservationusing native and drought tolerant plants, but also provides irrigation drawings for these designs, with a great understanding of how irrigation design is integrated with landscape design, ensuring the long-term success of the landscape.

THK has a dedicated team of 18 seasoned professionals, including market analysts, landscape architects, ecologists, and urban planners.
