Eco-Fit Park

Children and adults are increasingly disconnected from the world that surrounds them. Eco-Fit Park is a concept that combines the instinctive need of children to play with education and improved health. The park provides an exciting place where children and their parent or guardians can be active in play while learning valuable lessons about their culture, history, the environment, and the importance of fitness in their personal lives.
The park also acts as a case study of how the ecology of Fountain Creek can be improved through innovated design techniques such as backwater channels and wetlands that act as water quality filtration ponds and flood storage. Creating and enhancing the stewardship of Fountain Creek is an important and consistent principal for the entire corridor.
